First Baptist of Ivy Gap, a dramedy
Written by:  Ron Osborne
Directed by:  Jimmy O. Burdette
During WWII, six women gather at the church to roll bandages for the Red Cross and plan the church's 75th anniversary.  There's Edith, the pastor's wise-cracking wife; Luby, whose son is fighting in the Pacific; Mae Ellen, the church's rebellious organist; Olene, who dreams of a career in Hollywood; Sammy, a shy newcomer with a secret; and Vera, an influential Baptist with a secret of her own.  In Act 2, twenty-five years later, these women reunite again at the church with revelations that shake relationships formed over a quarter of a century.  With humor and pathos, these six very different women find comfort, forgiveness and redemption in each other.  ÒThis play will be compared to Steel Magnolias, but forget steel; these mountain magnolias are pure gold with humor, drama, warmth and six of the most wonderful characters you'll ever seeÓ says the Bristol Herald-Courier.

Shoestring Players Perform "Urinetown"
Urinetown, one of the most uproariously funny musicals in recent years, is a hilarious tale of greed, corruption, love, and revolution in a time when water is worth its weight in gold. In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity's most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides he's had enough, and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom! Inspired by the works of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, Urinetown is an irreverently humorous satire in which no one is safe from scrutiny.

Kismet - Musical
Book by: Charles Lederer and Luther Davis
Lyrics by: George Forrest and Robert Wright
Music by: Alexander Borodin, George Forrest and Robert Wright
Neither Aladdin nor Ali Baba ever had a day like this! In the span of twenty-four hours, Hajj the beggar escapes the clutches of a vengeful bandit, drowns the evil Wazir of Police, catches the eye of the Wazir's voluptuous wife, serves as Emir of Baghdad, and sees his daughter wed to the handsome Caliph. This Arabian fantasy has proven a winner time and again, thanks to its exotic setting, appealing characters, and wry sense of humor, not to mention a lush musical score. Packed with mirth, mayhem, and romance, Kismet has enough adventure and delight to last at least 1001 Arabian nights! Directed by Jane Street.

Speaker Arun Gandhi for One World Week
Arun Gandhi: Peace Activist and Proponent of Nonviolence
Lessons from his Grandfather:
Gandhi shares his riveting and unique reflections on the personal and historical legacy of his grandfather, and sets forth a message of integrity, social harmony, nonviolent struggle, and hope for a better world.
A Nonviolent Response of Terrorism:
In this talk, Gandhi discusses the necessity of nonviolence in response to terrorism. He says that it is important to be respected for moral, and not military strength. Gandhi's message is that the world will be a better place if nations' policies turn towards the good of the world, and not only their own benefit. He believes that only when this happens will the world be free from terrorism.

Important to know !

Did you know, that in South Carolina :
- the agent who lists a property does represent the sellers interests only
- you are entitled to work with you own real estate agent who solely represents your interests
- without having a contract with a real estate agent, your own interests are not represented
- a buyers agent does not receive his commission from the purchaser (with few exceptions)
- we can show you every property that is on the market in Greenville / Spartanburg / Anderson
