Saturday, March 15, 2008, there will be a free concert by 'Fayssoux McLean and Brandon Turner' from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and again from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Irishfest parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will last approximately one hour. 'Hot Duck Soup' will perform for free from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; 'Rince na h'Eireann Dance School' from Charlotte North Carolina will make two appearances at 12:00 p.m. and at 1:00 p.m. 'Doc Bowman and Carolina Rail' will perform at 12:20 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., and again from 1:15 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The crowd will be able to enjoy face painting, leprechaun photo opportunities, inflatable games, arts and crafts vendors, and lots of good food from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

ART EXHIBIT- Leon Makielski
American Impressionist Leon Makielski was mentored by Mr. J.M.Studebaker who provided him with financial and moral support during his studies and travels in Europe. On the return trip, two of the artist's paintings went down with the Titanic, and Makielski would have as well had he not prolonged his stay in Europe. Robert Frost was a friend and an admirer of Makielski's work.
